ROGA is mentoring scheme is for young people living in Peterborough. The aim is to motivate young people (13 – 19 years old) to access further education (Level 4 and above) and to equip them with new and relevant skills. Participants will enjoy a rich programme, including a visit the Westminster Parliament, police station, City Council, Cambridge University, Peterborough University and many other places. Throughout the project, young people will take part in experiences to build their confidence, including meeting prominent Roma role models and professionals.

The project is being fully funded by the NEACO, which means it is completely free for the young people to participate.

Planned activities:

Trip to London – Westminster, Buckingham palace, Horse guard, European Commission (20th July)

Visit to local police station (27th July)

Meeting with the Mayor at Town Hall (27th July)

Accessing higher education & apprenticeship (throughout August)

Photo and Video workshop with Artur Conka (9th September)

Workshop with Jan Bendig and gala dinner (26th October)
